Where were you born and raised?
Mayville, NY- much smaller than Mayberry with one traffic light that turns into a blinker at 10pm. Not exactly a 'one-horse-town' but we once had a rival burg drive a manure spreader down main street one Halloween. We retaliated by dragging an outhouse to the center of their village and setting it on fire.

Education?
BA degree, Radio-TV Broadcasting from Ashland College, OH. They call it a university now so they can charge a lot more tuition.

What the worst job you've held (other than your current one)?
While all the college preps went to Key West for spring break, I returned to Western New York and pulled brush in the grape vineyards. It's 10 degrees in the blowing snow and those vines would smack you in the nose- absolutely the worst job. The job as a restaurant janitor, illegally dumping the deep fryer grease down the sewer grate and cleaning the toilets each night was a breeze by comparison.

Any hobbies?
Motorcycling- 1996 FXDWG, violet pearl; listening to music- live and recorded; running; reading; movies; flogging my lazy kids... I mean, fostering a positive family environment for my children; cigars

Why radio?
It sure beats digging ditches for a living.

Why do you love classic rock?
It's the music I grew up with... lyrics with relevance and music with melody- gee, what a concept.

5 desert island albums?
Making Movies- Dire Straits
Night & Day- Joe Jackson
The Wall-Pink Floyd
Stop Making Sense- Talking Heads
Avalon- Roxy Music

Favorite album cut?
Layla- Derek & the Dominoes

Greatest live rock show you've ever seen?
Pink Floyd- Division Bell tour, Foxboro Stadium
INXS- Kick tour, Whiskey-A-Go-Go
U2- Zoo TV tour, Providence Civic Center
Peter Gabriel- Us tour, The Centrum
Who- Quadrophenia tour, Madison Square Garden

Junior or Senior (Earnhardt), and why?
Junior- the here & now is more exciting than the nostalgic past, plus he's got a lot to live up to.
