So exciting! I'll be out at RIR this Saturday from 11am- 1pm and someone will win the title of FasMart's Ultimate Race Fan with awesome prizes! Come out for a last chance to win the contest, they'll be giving Pace Car rides, and I don't know about you but I think it's so cool to get to check out the infield. To think I might be walking somewhere that Dale Jr. has before.......sigh.......LOL!

The 3rd Annual Hogs4Hokies Ride is coming up May 1-2. Proceeds from the ride go to the scholarship fund in the names of the 32 victims of the VT Massacre. For complete ride info check out www.HOGS4HOKIES.org

After this nasty chilly rain clears out things will get much better and at this point we're looking at temperature highs in the 80's this weekend.

Now during the last round of really nice weather we had I was riding into work one morning when I saw a lady in a car changing lanes. The only problem was I was in the lane she started to move into, right next to her on my motorcycle! I revved the engine so she'd turn her head, see me, and get back in her lane- which thankfully she did!

Please remember, with better weather more bikes will be hitting the roads and after this long winter a lot of drivers aren't used to watching out for them. When you're driving please turn your head to make sure lanes are clear before changing over, use your signals, and don't tailgate. What would be a fender bender in a vehicle is going to be so much worse for someone on a bike. Look twice, save a life- motorcycles are everywhere!

Ride safe!

Because no matter how much snow you've dealt with, you could still look at this list and think, "DOH!"

AAA Mid-Atlantic's Top 5 "Last Minute, Common Sense Tips"

1-Dress as if you were going to be stranded.

2-Open the garage door before starting the car to prevent carbon monoxide build up.

3-Bring your vehicle clearing supplies, such as ice scraper, snow shovels, and deicer spray, INSIDE.

4-Check your antifreeze to ensure it will withstand the winter cold, using a 50/50 mixture of coolant and water to protect against freezing.

5-Never pour hot water on door locks or windows to deice them, as they may crack.

WAIT! Before I lose the guys because you've tuned out the topic, or worse yet passed out from a panic attack this is all about HELP for Valentine's Day.

To be fair it does seem women usually benefit more from this holiday, but we will be hooking up the guys for Manly-tines Day this year...complete info coming soon! Obviously I can't win those prizes though- SO in the meantime, give me some gift-giving ideas!

Men, what are some of the coolest gifts you've ever received? (PG answers please my dears LOL!) Do you like "stuff" like electronics or "outings" like game or concert tickets?

And girls, how about some good gift ideas for you too- to help the guys out? (PG answers from you too, I KNOW how creative we can be LOL!)

Is it April yet?

No, for once I'm not asking because I'm tired of the extreme cold we've been dealing with and yearning for warmer weather.

I saw Gregg Allman play at The National not even a week ago, and the wait for his new album to be released is going to be very long. I'm already jonesing to hear the new stuff he played again, and the album is supposed to hit shelves sometime in April.

So, until then I guess I'll deal by picking up something from Scrapomatic, the band that opened that night. They were amazing, a trio of musicians picking the blues and placing me at one of those bonfire parties where talented friends pick up some instruments for an impromptu jam session.

Check them out for yourself here... since friends this talented can be hard to come by, and no matter how big the bonfire it's probably too cold to party outside right now anyway.

Alright so maybe I was asking not only because of a forthcoming release, but also because I'm tired of the cold and looking forward to warmer weather...
