Ah, rumors... look at'em fly. Who's gonna sing with Aerosmith? Paul Rodgers, Sammy Hagar, Barak Obama? Lately, everybody's had a shot. Here's what we know.

The rumors that Paul Rodgers might join Aerosmith while singer Steven Tyler recovers from his various ailments... are not true. Paul, who has created groups like Bad Company, Free and The Firm with Jimmy Page, says he prefers making new music as opposed to filling in for someone.

"If you look at my history, my history is that of forming bands rather than joining them. I tend to want to form bands and then create new music within them. Queen was an exception and we joined forces because it just seemed to work when we played together. But as far as Aerosmith, I don't think I want to be joining bands and Steven Tyler is very much still alive. I would like to see them solve their problems and put the band together cause they're such a great band."

You can hear some of the music Paul created with Bad Company by picking up their new CD/DVD set Bad Company Hard Rock Live. It's out now and boasts footage from the group's 2008 Florida gig, their first show together in ten years.

Now, how about Sammy Hagar singing for Aerosmith? According to Classic Rock Magazine Hagar was a candidate to replace Steven Tyler. However, Sammy's manager weighed in, joking that the "sources" must be gossip rap The Enquirer "because his Led Zep gig conflicts with the Aerosmith job." The manager then stated, "Seriously, Sam is very happy to be going into the studio with Chickenfoot to start the second album in April." That puts two names to rest. And what about President Obama rocking the mic? We'll see. The day is still young.
